Its taken some time, but the New York Times has discovered the Ducati Diavel: Click HERE for article.
I can't decide if the reviewer liked the bike. Anyone who has seen the bike, in-person or in print, has an opinion on the looks. And the debate on whether Ducati should be in the power NOT-a-cruiser business is so oft repeated, it can be recited by rote memory.
And people are still arguing if the NOT-a-cruiser Diavel is, indeed, just that.
But the one thing that everyone who has ever sat astride the bizzaro-land Dali-rendition of the Ducati Sreetfighter can all agree upon, the Diavel is fun. Feloniously, absurdly, perma-grin inducingly fun.
Unless you happen to write motorcycle reviews for the New York Times.
I don't think he left the driveway. Or he's bitter that the Diavel refuses to fall neatly into an existing moto-category? Maybe he's a BMW guy?
Could it be that he didn't realize there was a Sport mode for power delivery?
I don't know how to explain it otherwise. Except to conclude he should go back to reviewing mini-vans and station wagons and leave bike reviews to riders who love to ride motorcycles!
