Triumph Motorcycle Clothing has become a business in its own right

Making related merchandise is now big business for some Motorcycle brands.   Triumph Motorcycle Clothing is now a significant part of Triumph Motorcycles company turnover.  The range comprises jackets, shirts, boots, caps, belts, even  Triumph-branded kids clothing.

It’s a long way from where Triumph began.  What started out as a very small business producing bicycles grew into a very  successful manufacturer of motorcycles and automobiles.  By the nineteen sixties Triumph motorcycles rocked the world with huge sales successes - especially in America - and an exciting, sporty product range.  However, complacency, failure to innovate or modernise production in the seventies led Triumph Engineering into receivership in 1984.

It was then that John Bloor bought out the company and established Triumph Motorcycles Ltd. Thanks to a great deal of business sense and talent, the business has gone on to become an internationally successful brand and is now the largest surviving UK motorcycle manufacturer producing a full range of sports, adventure and classic designs of motorcycles.  Along with a vast range of aftermarket and performance accessories  like exhausts and suspension upgrades.

In 1995 Triumph launched their own line of clothing and accessories which included Triumph motorcycle shirts, gloves, boots, jeans, pants and casual wear. Since then, the Triumph motorcycle clothing range has gone on to enjoy massive success and has become an invaluable part of the overall business.

The company prides itself on the fact that all of their clothing is developed in-house and each garment is subjected to strict quality controls that ensure that they are only ever producing products that perform to the highest standards.

The extensive range of items available in the Triumph motorcycle clothing range is another thing that has made the brand so popular amongst riders. With stylish and highly technical items that are made from the latest fabrics and production techniques, it’s no wonder that the company has famous associations with the likes of Steve McQueen and Bob Dylan.

Triumph is in fact the only business that the Steve McQueen estate has granted a licence to associate with the iconic actor and since Bob Dylan wore a Triumph T-shirt on his album Highway 61 Revisited cover, thousands of similar shirts have been sold to those wishing to copy the look.

One thing for certain is that this internationally successful and instantly recognisable brand has come a long way since it first started producing bicycles. With an impressive turnover, large workforce, highly desired motorcycles and large range of Triumph motorcycle clothing, it seems like there is nothing this company can’t do.

Pure-Triumph is the largest online distributor of Triumph clothing, accessories and apparel including Triumph motorcycle shirts, helmets, jeans, safety wear and women’s clothing.
